Cheers to You on Your Birthday!

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend like I am. Today I am posting another birthday card. This one I made for my son for his 27th BDay which is today. It is always hard I think to make a card for someone twenties, especially if you want each card made for the same person to be totally different from past birthdays. I decided on this image from Kenny K as it is a bit more sutler than last years.

The important thing is that we had is Bday last night and he really liked the card. I could tell because he wanted to take it to show his girlfriend. He kept feeling it to try and figure out how I got the shirt to match the back round DP. If he only knew how long it took me to get that glittered DP to go through the printer then see the lines to cut it out and after color and cut the collar and cuffs (they were so small) so they weren't the same as the DP print. I also added my own bit of sparkle on the foam from the beer (my son is always commenting about glitter being on everything I make).

Here are some wonderful challenges that fit this card

  11. Hi Mary, what a great card - love the colours and sounds like you had a difficult job with paper piecing, but what a wonderful finish. That someone likes their card is the main thing, I've always felt, for cardmakers - seeing the pleasure on their face when they get the card! Thanks for joining in with us this time at Divas by Design. Sarah
