Hello and Happy Tuesday! Can you believe tomorrow is February 1st already! We have no snow here and haven't really had any this winter. I am starting to get a touch of Spring fever early, I want to be done with Winter now.

Love is in The Air

Hello, I hope that everyone is having a great week! Can I just say here how much Blogger is driving me nuts. They no longer support my browser which I did not know so I was having all sorts of trouble moving from blog to blog. Then they shut it off totally and I have to use a new browser which I am not crazy about. I don't like change and this is definitely throwing me off. This post is taking me forever to complete! Oh well enough complaining.

This week we have a sketch challenge for you to play along with us at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. I loved this sketch and it worked perfectly with my new stamp(isn't he just the perfect valentine). I love to take the guesswork out of creating and even sometimes to challenge myself by using a sketch for my cards. Here is the sketch for this week, great huh. I did flip it so that the text would be on the other side. I also couldn't wait to use those heart beads that I bought in Dover a couple of weeks ago, I bought all three colors!

A Fairy Fun Birthday!

Hello, Happy Tuesday! It is time for another fantastic challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. We have another fun theme this week Die-cuts. Do you remember the days before Spellbinders was a papercrafter's household name? There is rarely a card or scrapbook page made that doesn't have a die-cut of some sort on it so we want to see what die-cuts you are using on your projects this week! It can be something brand new or an old favorite we want to see them all. So what are you waiting for come play with us.

I used a brand new (bought it Saturday)swirl die from MFT, a heart strip from Memory Box (bought it a week ago), a round lace die that I got last Spring at a stamping convention, a favorite Memory Box border die and of course my nesties for the circles. Guess I can't live without them!

Winter Sparkle!

Happy Weekend! It finally looks like winter here in New England. We have a little snow on the ground finally and it is really cold! I got to go shopping yesterday at one of my favorite stamping stores in Dover, NH. It is quite a ride for us so we make it a fun road trip for my sister Peggy, Kristen, Pia and Michelle and myself. We got there early and spent quite a while there shopping, no one left without a bag full of goodies. We finished the morning off at Friday's for lunch, gossip and a lot of laughs. Peggy and I finished off the day at our LSS where some paper that she ordered came in and we found some new very pretty paper packs that we both had to have. It was a very expensive but fun day! I am so glad this is a 3 day weekend so I can play with my new stuff.

This card was made for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge this week. I am posting late but you still have time to come play along with us. This week is a favorite theme for me Glitter!!!!! I love to put glitter on everything, the more sparkle the better. This card is covered with it. I just love these Saturated Canary digis, it is hard to pick just a few as your favorites.

Something Old, Something New....

Hello Happy New Year!!! I have not posted in so long. I spent the last of last year sick with a really bad case of bronchitis infection that I could not get to clear up and caused some major breathing problems. The doctors are great but can't quite put their finger on what is causing it and I am still going for some tests. I am on enough meds to take down a bull elephant which helps but has me in a fog and makes me exhausted. I am finally off the cough with codine so I can function now. I couldn't wait to be able to create again.

Today is the first challenge for the new year at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. The theme of the challenge is Something Old, Something New! We would like you to use something that is old but still loved and something new that you just got and can't wait to play with. My old is this snowman digi from Sassy Cheryl, I bought it last year and just now am using it again. This time I colored him multiple times and then layered and popped him up in different areas. My new are these snowflake dies from Memory Box. I bought the border and the corner dies. I think they look so delicate and whimsical and they are perfect for adding glitter to for sparkle!

Ready for the Season!

Hello, Happy Tuesday! I can not believe how warm it still is here in southern New England. We should be all bundled up by now with a bit of snow on the ground, instead we are in sweatshirts and some of my plants outside have buds on them because they are so messed up with this weather. The weathermen claim it will all change in a few days and be more seasonable.

It is also time for another fantastic challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.
This week theme theme is presents. You can interpret it different ways like all the creative and talented ladies did to inspire you this week, you can include a present as part of your image or create a present. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I decided to use this cute snowman from LOTV with his presents in hand and all ready to celebrate.
TIP
I love to create snowflakes using all different sizes, shapes and materials. When I realized this year I could color my snowflakes with Copics, felt and plastic especially, so they matched perfectly with my cards I started going nuts I love all the color and sparkle together. These snowflakes have 5 layers of different sizes and styles of flakes stacked to make one. The plastic snowflakes I used this time are also iridescent so I only gave it one coat of coloring so it would look marbled and the iridescence would still show through.I hope you now want to pull out some snowflakes and start making some one of a kind flakes of your own!

A Letter For Santa

Hello, It has been so long since I have posted here on my blog. This year at school is beyond busy. There aren't enough hours in the day. By the time I would get home I would be so tired my creative mojo wasn't working so well and I just never seemed to be able to finish anything I started. Finally I got together with my stamping friends Pia, Michelle and Donna and my sister Peggy (Kristen we missed you!) on Saturday and boy was it great to have fun just creating and having fun! I have been dying to use this stamp since I got it and boy do I love it. It worked perfectly with these cranberry and aqua colors. I tried coloring my felt snowflakes with my Copics and it works great. I love that I can now match my snowflakes to the colors on my cards. I made this card for my neighbor because this reminds me of her little girl always wanting to get the mail. Well enough rambling for now, it's great to be back amongst the creative friends!

A Few Simple Words

Hello Happy Tuesday! What a different a week makes. The snow is all gone everyone once again has power and it is in the 60's here right now, a beautiful start to this week. I also went to my first large Holiday craft fair in Boston this past Saturday with my two sister and my daughter. I officially started my Christmas shopping there. Is was a lot of fun though exhausting. It was mobbed there, so many more people buying compared to previous years so you were dodging lots of packages that people were carrying.

It is also time for another fun challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. This week the challenge is all about the sentiment as the main focus. The ladies have created some awesome inspiration for you so be sure to stop by and show them some love. I went with a Fall sentiment because I have this wonderful digi from Shelly's Images Digital Stamps and I really wanted to use it for this challenge. Enjoying the Season

Hello, Happy Wednesday from snowy New England!
We have had a crazy number of days here in eastern MA. Last Thursday night we went from pouring rain to an inch of snow, luckily it melted right away. Then on Saturday afternoon a Nor'Easter started and we ended up with 6 inches of wet, heavy snow. We still have all the leaves on our trees because of the late Fall we were having so tons of large limbs fell off the trees and onto the power lines. Lots lost power, 80% of the town. The town looks like a war zone and it has canceled school and work for at least 3 days, probably more. Nothing around us was open except for a gas station and the wait for gas is 45 min. minimum. I never lost power but we were the only ones on a small stretch of road that didn't. My house has been the go to place for these days so that our family and friends can be warm, have a place to sleep and a hot meal. My poor sister Peggy has been running between Panera's in NH and my house trying to get some reports that needed to be done finished in a somewhat quiet place.  I am exhausted from the nonstop people here. I haven't had a minute to myself until now. Even Halloween was pushed out a week because it was too dangerous with the downed lines and weakened trees. It seems like we went from a beautiful late summer to an early winter, so much for our crisp, beautiful Fall. I hate when the seasons collide on top of us!!!!!!

A Magical Ride

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I got together with some good friends Peggy, Kristen, Pia, Michelle and Donna. We spent all day Saturday making cards or scrapbooking, eating, laughing and just having a great time together. You know when they say great minds think alike. When we were all there and talking about this week's challenge for
Going Grey with Scrap-Creations
and what we were going to create for it. OOPS I guess I should tell you now that the theme this week is to create something using both a digi image and digi DP. We all pulled out a Halloween image and then our digi paper and started laughing, all three of us Kristen, Peggy and myself all had the same Halloween DP from Bearly Mine (one of last year's freebies). We could not believe it! We did all still create a wonderful creation and each so different even though all 3 are cards so be sure to check out what they made as well as all the other ladies wonderful creations. Beauty, Halloween Style!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It is finally Fall here in New England and it is wonderful! The foliage isn't real bright but there are hints of color on a few trees scattered about. I am ready for cozy sweaters and the smell of wood burning in the fireplace. Halloween is also starting to pop up everywhere. Don't you just love it!

This week at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations the challenge is one that is going to be fun. We would like you to create a tag this week. It can be any kind of tag you choose. I was in the Halloween mood so I created this Halloween tag. I just love the DP I used. It was free from Bearly Mine last year, I love the aged look of it. I also thought I would have a little fun and have the bats fly off the tag with the help of acetate strips. All the ladies did a fabulous job this week creating tags to inspire you so be sure to stop by and see what they created for you.

Dreaming of A White Christmas

Hello and Happy Tuesday! This is the end of a wonderful long weekend and now a back to school day for me. We are having summer like weather the last few days and got a lot done around the house, spent time craft shopping with my sister, and spent most of today with my hubby taking a day trip up into NH. A perfect long weekend only to realize that back to reality. I guess I need some way to pay for all my crafting goodys!

I had started this card last week and put it aside because I couldn't decide what DP I wanted to use. I bought some really snowflake paper on Sat. and thought I would use that but decided I loved the Bearly Mine more for with her. I really like blue so making a monochromatic card was easy once I picked it up again. I am pretty happy with the end result, I am glad I didn't finish it last week. I probably wouldn't have liked it as much.

Do You Smell Something?

Hello, Happy Tuesday! I have been loving this long weekend. The weather is beautiful and Saturday my sister and I went to a LSS that is about an hour away and we go to about 3 times a year. We had a lot of fun, bought some great stuff (could have bought a lot more!) I spent the day with my DH on Monday. A perfect weekend!

A Fun Filled Halloween!

Happy Tuesday! It is another warm and beautiful Tuesday here in New England. No sign of Fall yet though the they say by the weekend it will feel like Fall finally. I think I am glad because with running the AC at home to compensate for the heat everywhere else I am now battling one whopper of a head cold, way too early for it I think. Oh well what can you do but let it run it's course.

Being Tuesday it is time for another great challenge over at

This week our challenge is all about the girls. So create a card or project with "It's A Girl Thing" as the theme. Falling For Fall

Hello and Happy Sunday! It is still feeling like the middle of summer here in New England. The weatherman says that it is only a day or 2 more but I have to say I'll believe it when I see it! At least I am still wearing flip flops which makes me happy.
.
This is my last week as a guest DT at StempelTräume Challenge Bog. I have really enjoyed playing along with them this month so thank you very much for inviting me. I am sure I will be popping over to play along for more of their fun challenges. This week their challenge is STRIPES.
I used some new DP that I had just bought because of the colors. I also attempted to make a leaf swag like I saw at my local Michaels. My pic looks like I need more color on the swag but IRL the Creamy Caramel and Pear Pizzazz inks are darker and brighter so it looks more colorful than in the pic. Sometimes the camera just won't cooperate with me! Also the whole think is sprinkled with Stickles for lots of sparkle on the swag.

Everything Autumn

Hello! Happy Tuesday! I am posting a bit late today, I don't know where the hours and even days go but I don't seem to have enough hours in the day this past week. I was in a workshop today at school and with the lights off during the presentation I found myself wanting to doze off, how embarrassing would that be. Thank goodness the fresh air outside was enough to wake me up.

Their digis are so wonderful and they definitely have something for every one's style and taste. I used 3 different images of theirs on my card. I have to say thank you for them giving us an image of our choice to play with this week. Be sure to check out all the other ladies creations they are so inspiring! I wanted to create a Fall card that was more masculine so the wagon caught my eye. I then thought what I could fill it with, should I leave it empty. I decided on pumpkins because at a local farm I noticed they had a cart pulled by a tractor that was full of pumpkins that must have been just picked. I came home and looked at the stack of pumpkins that Digi Doodle had and decided I could cut them apart to fill the wagon. I then thought that the corn stalks would be a good final touch to say Autumn. What do you think I should put in the wagon next time? Don't you just love the fun Fall buttons I found at my Michaels. I used the sparkle sunflower this time but the bag also has gourds, leaves, and pumpkins. I wish that I had bought a lot more packages of them.

The Monster Mash

Hello, Happy Sunday! I think the feel of Fall is finally here and I am loving it. I am ready for a change from the hot summer we had. I also love to make Fall cards and of course Halloween creations.

It is time for another fun challenge of at StempelTräume Challenge Bog. They have a really fun challenge this week, create something inspired by a song. I decided to go with a Halloween song, The Monster Mash because this funny guy Frankie looks like he is dancing the night away at a Halloween Ball! They usually have sparkly stars and moons for decorations, lots of people dancing and little dots of color everywhere from the lights. That is what I tried to create on this card, monster style of course, he he.

A Little Sparkle

Hello, Today being 9/11 I got up early to watch the rememberance of that awful day 10 years ago, something I will never forget. I found myself glued to the tv just like when it happened. I hope everyone gets to take a moment to remember how lucky we are to live free and the ones who gave up their lives for that freedom.

Being Sunday I am also posting a ATC for my guest DT spot over at StempelTräume Challenge Bog. Their challenge this week is to create an ATC card. I can't tell you how challenging that was for me. I have never had to create something so small and try to be artistic at the same time. I am usually at DP kind of person the last few years and always pull out my Copics and color an image. When I looked at ATC cards created by other talented people I knew I would hve to think outside the box and push my creative comfort zone. This is what I came up with in the end after many other tries at working on my creation.

First I found the size an ATC should be 21/2 x 31/2. I decided that I should work with colors I love so that wasn't another obstacle for me. I tried a few techniques that I use to love like shaving cream, polished stone and stamping a background with ink. None of them looked great in a small space. I made a winter card for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge last week so all my winter punches and snowflake embellishments were out in my stamping area and that's when the idea to punch out a few snowflakes then stick them down with a glue dot and sponge around them with some wintry pastel colors to give a snowy effect for the background, it still need something so I spritzed it with my shimmer spray. I am not sure if an ATC is suppose to have a frame but I couldn't resist giving it one so I trimmed it down so the finished card was still the correct size after I mounted it on colored cardstock. All that was left was to stamp a saying and add a few snowflake embellishments to finish it off. I really like the finished project, I took a close-up picture so you could see all the shimmer and sparkle on the card. What do you think, will it pass as an ATC card?

A Sweet Treat

Hello and Happy Sunday! I have some exciting news, I am guest designing for the month of September over at StempelTräume Challenge Bog.

I decided to make this cute box I saw in the Magnolia Magazine. I made it larger though and cut off the tabs on the side so I could just tie it to close. I am probably going to use it a a small welcome back gift for school.

Forever Friends

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! We are having sunny skies here after a tough weekend. Luckily we never lost our power through the tropical storm though a lot of our town is still without power. I am hoping that a lot of the gardens in my yard "pop back" after all the rain and wind. This is the week I start back to school and will be happy to see all the kiddos again.

We would like you to Decorate the INSIDE of your Card. Now many of you may already do this if not give it a try. I made a card for a boy so I kept the inside of the card on the minimal side. I do have that cute friend saying and put the first half of it on the outside and the second half of it on the inside. The swirly circle that they are on is actually a ribbon slide. Don't you just love when you can use your craft stuff for multiple design elements.

My First Day of School

Happy Tuesday! I am sitting here smiling while I type because the weather is so beautiful outside that I can here wonderful sounds that I haven't heard most of the summer because it has been so hot and the AC seemed to run 24 hrs.a day. I have all the windows open and it is wonderful!

It is also time for another challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.

This week we have a fun challenge that fits in with the time of year that it is, School Time. Another week or two and all the kids will be back at school so we would like to see a creation with that theme!

I decided to go a bit different with my school card. When I saw this Mo Manning image I thought it was cute. When I was looking through to find a school image this image kept pulling at me. We have a lot of walkers at our school and it is always the little ones that hug their moms, younger siblings and lastly their dogs before they are coaxed through the big red doors. That was the thought behind this school themed card.

Tip to share for Tip Top Tuesday- With all of the intricate die cuts that there are now it can be very hard to get them out of the die with out using some sharp like a pin so I keep wax paper close by and when I use a die I put the wax paper (cut a bit larger than the die) between the die and my paper after I run the die through the cutting machine the cut paper comes out easily because of the wax paper behind it, hope this helps you next time.

Cheers to You on Your Birthday!

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend like I am. Today I am posting another birthday card. This one I made for my son for his 27th BDay which is today. It is always hard I think to make a card for someone twenties, especially if you want each card made for the same person to be totally different from past birthdays. I decided on this image from Kenny K as it is a bit more sutler than last years.

The important thing is that we had is Bday last night and he really liked the card. I could tell because he wanted to take it to show his girlfriend. He kept feeling it to try and figure out how I got the shirt to match the back round DP. If he only knew how long it took me to get that glittered DP to go through the printer then see the lines to cut it out and after color and cut the collar and cuffs (they were so small) so they weren't the same as the DP print. I also added my own bit of sparkle on the foam from the beer (my son is always commenting about glitter being on everything I make).

A Cute Hello To You!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! It is time again for another great challenge over at

Going Grey with Scrap-Creations!

We have a really great challenge this week. It is this fantastic sketch. It was so much fun to work with and I can't wait to see what you do with it! I do have to say this is probably the first time I have used so many different DPs on one card, there are 4 different coordinating prints. I still wanted a touch of flowers besides the flower embellishments so I stamped the white panel behind her with some of my Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps and then glittered them. I don't think you can see the Stickles real well but it has been so dark and rainy here taking a picture has been a real challenge!

A Special Birthday

Happy Friday! The weather here in New England is perfect. Just like a summer day should be, warm but not roasting like last week. We celebrated a very special birthday at my house. My daughter turned 30. It is hard to believe that she is this old, where do the years go. I guess that makes me older than I feel and hopefully look! I wanted to make sure I made a very special card with everything that she loves, the color pink, roses, pearls, lacey things and anything that sparkles. I decided to use my Rubber Stamp Tapestry Rose Set because of the softness you can create. I made the heart shape to show our love for her. It is hard to see in the picture but I dotted all the small accent flowers on the heart with diamond Stickles. I am so glad that she liked it.

We Wish You A Merry Christmas....

Surprise! Can you believe that I have a post two days in a row? This never happens but I did finish this card and decided to post it before I got sidetracked. It is a little early to be thinking about Christmas but I wanted to play with this stamp from Lilli of the Valley. I bought it last year and just never found the time to ink it up until now.

I had a lot of fun coloring it though there was so much detail to it I was afraid I would get it almost all colored and mess part of it up and have to start over. I usually have a hard time fixing red so I colored that first. I used these 3 DP from Bearly Mine because I love the red and tealish color together. I also added lots of different color glitters on the card. There is gold on the large poinsetta and the poinsettas with the sentiment. there is diamond glitter on the fur trims and the snow. I also glittered where I distressed around the sheet music. the whole card really sparkles, I tried to show it in the second picture.

Sweet Pickins

Hello and Happy Tuesday! This is my first week of no summer school and I have been having so much fun creating. I spent all day Saturday with my friends Kristen Scrap-Creations, Pia, Michelle Shell's Life and my sister Peggy Colorful Designs creating and laughing at Pia's house, it was so much fun. Pia's hubby was great enough to barbeque for us and it must be hard to listen to a room full of ladies all day long! He is a great guy, Pia is very lucky!

From My Garden

Happy Tuesday!!! It is time for another challenge over at
Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.

This week we have a recipe for you to follow, use at least 2 different DPs and and 2 different embellishments. these are to of my favorite things to use on cards. I love DP and now that I have found digital DP (I love the Bearly Mine Designs digital DP) I am printing it often! I was always a paper hoarder always afraid I would use it up and then need it for another card. With digital paper I am in heaven because I will never run out of my favorites!
I never make a card without some embellishments on it so you will always see at least 2 on my card, ribbon and flowers are my favorites. How about you, what are your favorites?

Summer Friends

Happy Summer! I hope everyone is enjoying the summer like I am so far. The weather here in New England has been beautiful so far. We are just having our first days of 90 something degrees here this week. It definitely puts me in a happy mood.

I decided that I would make this card using this adorable image from LOTV. I have had it colored for a while but didn't feel creative enough to make something with it. There were butterflies out in my garden last week and it made me think of the image so I created this fun card. I am giving it to a little boy from school when I write to him to see how he is enjoying his summer. I made it open from the side because he was always asking me why my cards open the wrong way (Hallmark has him brainwashed).

Time to Head for the Beach!

Hello and Happy Tuesday, I hope everyone had the chance to enjoy the long weekend in the US like my family and I did. I am really enjoying my time off from school. Next week summer school starts but it is only 3 hours a day for four weeks and I am working with the preschool this year so we start really early and get out earlier that the elementary session. This gives me a lot of the day left to myself.

It is also time for another fantastic challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. This week Kristen let us fly free with the challenge. She picked the theme of Summertime and we could create whatever we wanted with whatever images we wanted to use. I have had this Whipper Snapper image from last summer that I never got a chance to ink up and decided to use it for my card. I thought it would make a quick, fun card. Well it turned into a maration card because I kept not thinking it wasn't perfect and changing my mind about it. Have you ever had a project that took on a life of it's own? I am glad I kept with it until I liked it.

My Garden Journal

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I feel like I haven't been on my blog for so long even though I just missed a week. Last week was one of those weeks that seems like it would never end. It was the last week of school and we had so much planned that I seemed to work around the clock, we did a craft everyday to go along with the theme of the day, (I planned all the crafts and brought in everything to do them). The last day of school was a full day for staff so I spent the afternoon doing creative bulletinboards for a couple of teachers, so needless to say the last week and a half has pushed my creativity to the limit.

Being Tuesday it is also time for another challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. This week we have a theme that was so different for me to do. The theme this week is Anything But A Card. I decided to do a garden journal for myself. I am getting into gardening and need to keep a journal so I know where I planted everything and what didn't do well so I can move it for the next year. I wanted something pretty so I could leave it out. When I saw this pretty flower fairy I knew it was perfect for the cover. It is hard to see but I have lots of glitter on all the flowers(the second picture shows it a bit better), the journal was a dark green color so I painted it a light blue. I am very happy with the way it came out. Our sponsor this week is Wee Stamps. Their images are so adorable, they are Wonderful!

Beach Babe

Happy Wednesday! I am so glad that the days are dwindling down until summer vacation. There are only 6 more wake-ups for me. I am ready for a break. I spent the Sunday with my sister Peggy, friends Kristen and Pia all selling our no longer used stamping stuff at a yard sale at our LSS (Ink About It in Westford, MA). I made a tidy some of cash and went home with a lot less than I brought there. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to spend more time with all of them. Of course I couldn't wait to spend the money I made on new stamping stuff, hehe.

Summertime Pleasures

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I have 13 more wake-ups until school is done for the year, can you tell I'm excited about it. We are really busy with end of the year stuff so the days fly by but are very tiring.

I went to a stamping convention this weekend with my good friends and sister. We had lots of fun (I spent lots of money and got lots of great stamping stuff to play with). Anyone who knows me knows I love Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps. They were there with lots of wonderful new templates and stamps. I love the dress template and am going to try to create one this week and will post it here when I do.

This week we also have a really fun challenge over at

Fairy Fun

Hello and Happy Day! I am a few days behind on life. There is a few weeks left to school and that means busy times for me at school. I also needed to get all my planting done and all the gardens freshened up so that the mulch could be done this weekend. I am hoping that my husband and son get it done while I am at a big rubber stamping convention in Springfield, MA tomorrow. My friends and I go every year. It is so much fun and I tend to buy a lot!

A Fairy Tale Birthday!

Happy Tuesday!!!! Can you believe it is just about Memorial Day weekend? In another week it will be June, where did Spring go? I still have a lot of planting and mulching to do in the gardens, hopefully the long weekend will be nice so I can get outside.

Tuesday means it is also time for another fun challenge over at

This week we have what I think is a fun and easy challenge, use at least 3 different DPs on your creation. I love DP so it was really easy to create something for this challenge. It's Graduation Time!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I would be happier if it wasn't so wet here in New England! All it has done is rain the last few days and they are saying rain for the rest of the week. I guess all the plants are loving it!

It is Tuesday and that means another fabulous challenge at

This week the challenge is Graduation. Graduation is such a happy time and a sign that summer is here and school is done. It is also means a lot to make a card for someone who is graduating. I made this graduation card and then added a frame to the back so it could be kept as a rememberence and put in a 3D frame later on.

Sweet Little One

Happy Mother's Day! I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful day, I know I did! It is a little unusual for me to post on a Sunday but I made this card for a friend that just had a baby girl. I know most baby girl cards are done in pink but her favorite color is blue (like me) so a cutie in blue she'll get from me. I just love this Mo Manning image so I knew I wanted to use it. I also wanted it to be made with soft blues so I used these beautiful Bearly Mine Designs papers.

I do have to say I couldn't find a simple blue floral DP to use with Donna's papers so I made my own using my Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps. I drew out a diagonal grid in pencil and everywhere the pencil crossed and made the flower bunch. After I finished I erased the pencil lines and had my own DP. It only took me one try and I have to say I am happy with the way it came out. I also dotted the flowers with Stickles for some sparkle. I also put Stickles on her wings and along the edge of her dress IRL it really sparkles but in my pic it looks a bit dark and no sparkle.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I spent Friday and Saturday at a scrapbooking convention. I even took at class Saturday with the girls learning how to make all different kinds of beautiful flowers to use on my cards.
