A New England Fall, 3CTC19

This card is for Kerry's Thursday Challenge, 3CTC19. It has been quite a while since I was able to participate in it. I did have this card made from a while ago but I thought it fit this week's challenge perfectly since fall in New England is all about the leaves bursting with vibrant color ever where you turn. I can't imagine not being here to see all the color!!!!

I used the Inkadinkado fall leaves set and inked them up with a Kaleidacolor ink pad in fall colors. The image in the middle is a Just Rite Oval stamp set and I colored it with dye ink markers. I added the word Fall to it after I stamped the oval to balance it out. I cut the oval with my nesties and popped it up to make it stand out. Lastly to make everything glisten I used a small paintbrush and brushed Stickles lightly on all the leaves and the dots under Inspired. By brushing the Stickles it gives a light, thin coat instead of a thicker coat right out of the bottle. You can see it in the second pic that I posted. This makes a fairly fast card with a lot of "WOW" factor, I think.
Supplies:
Stamps: Just Rite, Amuse, Inkadinkado
Paper: SU Choc. Chip, CTMH colonial white and DP unknown
Ink: Kaleidacolor Pad, Marvy Markers
Accessories: Nesties, Stickles, Prima flowers, CTMH ribbon brad, misc. small brads and Michaels ribbon

I am really happy that you took the time to stop by and see my work.
Thank you it means a lot.
Please come by again soon,
Mary

3CTC7 Chocolate Chip Cookies

I made this card for Kerry's Thursday Challenge, 3CTC7, Eat It. I never realized how many food stamps I don't have. I did find this cutie that I bought last year along with about 20 others. They are clear mini stamps. I bought 2 sets for $2.50 at a LSS in NH. I only bought 2 because I thought that was a bit pricy for a small set. About two months later I was poking around in Joanns and in the dollar bin I found about 30 more different sets by the same company for a dollar a set, that is how I now own so many of these cute sets.

This card changed so many times before I finished it. I colored the bear (I am not really sure what kind of animal he is, I just know he's cute) then started digging through my DP to find something cheery. These two are new from my LSS. I love the bright colors, especially the blue dotted one. I had the image on a white oval and the card was almost done but it was too much white against the bright DP so I decided to cut him out and pop him up on an oval punched out of the same DP as the backround. I decided after that the card needed some ribbon and couldn't decide what color I liked best on the card so I ended up using all three. I really liked the end product, but I still don't think you'll see me cutting out alot of what I color. It's just too easy to mess it up and have to start all over!

Supplies:
Stamps: Clear Mini Stamps by Inkadinkado
CS: SU Bliss Blue, Pixie Pink and DP Melissa Frances
Ink: Versafine black and Copics
Accessories: Nesties, Dew Drops, Michael's ribbon and Signo white pen

I hope that enjoyed this card, thanks for Looking.
Thank you for your comments I really appreciate them!
Please check back soon,
Mary

Isn't Life Sweet

I made this card for Kerry's first Thursday challenge, 3CTC1, over on her blog. I really liked the sketch and couldn't wait to participate.
I just loved this dog from Whipper Snapper from the moment I saw it!! When I first started dating my husband his family had a big, black dog that did nothing but slobber all over everything and his tongue was always trying to lick everything. My father-in-law loved ice cream and so did Brutus. When my FIL was done with his ice cream he would leave a little in the bowl for the dog and when he was done with the box of ice cream that big dog would act like a puppy chasing the box around the kitchen trying to lick every last drop. That is why I put the ice cream cone on my card and I thought the saying was very fitting for the memory this card gave to both my husband and I.
The ice cream was brushed with Shimmerz to give it a summery, melty look. The dog's drool and his tongue have Crystal Effects on them to give them a wet look. I could not find a bone stamp or image to print out so I had to draw one myself. I wasn't real happy with it but I was afraid if I played with it too much I would only make it worse. This is why I stamp and don't draw!

Supplies:
Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Stampabilities, Inkadinkado
CS: SU Tempting Turquoise, Choc. Chip, Neenah white, CTMH beige and DP DCWV
Ink: Memento black and brown and Copics
Accessories: Nesties, misc. brads, Shimmerz Angel Wings, and Crystal Effects

Kerry is promising to have a great and different challenge every Thursday so you should pop over and try it out.
Thanks for looking, leave a comment if you like what I did!
