Cool Summer Fun

It's Friday, It's Friday! It is beautiful here in New England. We can finally open the windows and shut off the AC, at least for the weekend! I am loving these Kenny K digis so much. When they first came out this was the very first one I bought. We have a couple of really yummy ice cream stands close to the house so my kids are always at one of them eating ice cream. So when I saw this image I thought of them immediately and couldn't resist buying it.

I colored this as soon as I caught it but had an awful time finding DP to go with it. I didn't think it was exactly a floral type of image, I wanted more teenage or edgy feel for the card. All of a sudden the other day when I was cleaning up my stamp area I saw the reinkers and knew they would make the perfect back round for her. I forgot how much fun it is making a shaving cream design. I used 2 different pinks and black for it. I also double dipped parts of it for some some fuzzy places. I am really glad I waited until I found something I liked for this image and didn't settle for something I wasn't crazy about, KWIM? I would really like to know what you think of the shaving cream back round.

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #20-The challenge this week is to use "FLOWERS" on your creation. I used 2 flowers that I put together to add a touch of "girlie" to my card.
I Did It Creations Challenge #17-This is a challenge that is always liked "Anything Goes" is this week!
If The Shoe Fits, Fashionista Friday Challenge #43-"Diecuts" is the challenge this week. I used my Coluzzle to cut the large ovals and my Nesties to cut the circles.
Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #5-Their challenge this week is "Summertime". Really fun challenge to play!
Little Red Wagon Challenge #41-This week the challenge is " A Summer Theme". What says summer more than drippy ice cream cones!

Paper Romance Challenge PRC11-This challenge is "Pink and Bling". I have lots of pink and my bling is the sparkle heart charm.

Paper Sundaes Challenge 30-This challenge theme this week is "Metal". I have a charm on my card that is silver and full of sparkle.

Hockey Lover!

What a WONDERFUL WEEKEND! The weather here is perfect and lots is getting done on our addition and today I finally finished this card!

I bought this Kenny K hockey digi as soon as it came out. I decided that it would make the perfect birthday card for my son, his birthday is in a few weeks. We are a huge hockey family, it has taken up all of our lives for a very long time! The card took me longer to finish than I thought because I couldn't quite decide on embellishments for it. When finished I was happy with it. I am sure he will be too!

These are some of the fantastic challenges that fit my card

Hand Full of Stamps Challenge HFOS #38-The theme for this challenge is Sept. and Oct. Great Challenge these months are the start of the hockey season so this card is a perfect fit!

One Stop Craft Challenge #91-This challenge is to use patterns on your creation. The DP that I used repeats hockey words on both the white and black sheets.

One Stitch At A time Challenge #23-This week they have a color challenge, black white and one other color. I used maroon as the other color to match my son's uniform.

Stamp with Fun Challenge #69-This week they picked the theme of a card for a boy or a man.

Stampavie and More Challenge #103-This challenge is also a color challenge to use black, white and one other color.

Digi Doodles Shop's Best Challenge #18-This challenge is called "Punch or Cut Me". I punched out the corner squares and the tabs on the sides and then cut out all the rectangles and the digi image!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #123-This is a fun challenge this week, "Texting Crazy", use text on your card. I have it all over my card!

Raise The Bar Challenge #29-This challenge would like us to use a "sticker" on your creation. I never use stickers but this time the word score is a sticker and worked perfectly on my card!

The Res-Q Challenge RESQ56-This is a really fun challenge this week. Use "ALL CAPS" on your words on your creation. All the letters on my card in came in ALL CAPS!
