Birthday Wishes Wrapped with Love

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I have a shortened day at school today I hope. It is workshop day for us so I am hoping to get out a little earlier than a full day of school and start cleaning up one of my flower gardens. There is green starting to sprout up and that means that need a clean and clear area to do their best all Spring. I love working out there just as much as paper crafting!

Somebunny Loves You!

Hello!!! Happy Spring??? It was wonderful with our touch of Spring last week here in New England, but this week we are back to a touch of winter. The temps have dropped and we have had some frost that is threatening the plants that started to bloom. It is back to winter coats most days and I like a lot of others are fighting a major cold from the extremes we are feeling. I want Spring back!!!!

This card is for the Going Grey with Scrap-Creations challenge this week. I am posting late because of feeling lousy. Anyway the you still have lots of time to play along still. The theme this week is Easter so let's see your Easter best, eggs, bunnies, whatever reminds you of the holiday.

Everything Flowers!

Hello, Happy Spring!!!!!!! The weather here in New England is gorgeous! It is sunny, in the 80's and there is a warm breeze. A perfect day and tomorrow is going to be even better! I can't remember a March day this nice. I hope we don't pay for it later.

We have another wonderful challenge for you this week at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations, in honor of Spring the theme is FLOWERS! You can have theme as your image, as embellishments or as your back round, the more the better. How fun and easy is that so come play with us this week, just hop over to the Going Grey blog see what the ladies have created to inspire you and play along.

When I was creating this card I thought it needed something to make the image stand out from the card. After trying different things I thought of a white doily. This doily that I used had a much different life before I "rescued" it. We at my nieces wedding at a really nice place. When they started serving the fresh fruit cup they had them on these beautiful large doilies. It was so delicate looking I couldn't stop looking at it. I decided I had to have them. I started asking everyone at my table for theirs. My husband was not amused at what I was doing, but I walked out with about 10 of them in my purse. I have had them now for almost 2 years and still have 4 left. So you never know when that next great craft item will land in front of you!

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Can you believe that it is already March. We have a covering of snow on the ground from our storm last week but we are also hearing the sound of birds chirping some mornings, a sure sign of warmer Spring days.

A Tea Party!

Hello and TGIF!!!! I am posting today after a snowy day at home yesterday. We finally got snow here and a day off from school. It gave me a chance to curl up inside and work on some cards that needed to be tweaked before I called them finished.

I am also posting today because I was chosen as the featured artist over at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog. This is the card I created for their challenge that starts today. Theme for their challenge is a card with a long saying or verse (so Happy Birthday or Love You etc. won't work). At first I thought it was going to made my usual square card and remembered this tea pot template in an old issue of Magnolia Ink. Of course it gave me a perfect excuse to get this adorable Saturated Canary digi. If you notice the invite is on a tag that is attached to the tea pot cover. The card doesn't open you pull it out by pulling up on the cover. It was really fun to make the tea pot!

My Best Friend

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I can here Spring here because the birds are chirping right out side in the trees and bushes. Too bad they are forecasting snow for us tomorrow night into Thursday though I believe it when I see it, we have had so many false alarms when it comes to the white stuff around here. I want to give a big thanks to my dear friend Pia. She opened her house to us on Saturday so that all the stamping/scrapping friends myself, Peggy, Michelle and Donna could have a full and fun day of  creating and crafting (Kristen we missed you).

This week for the challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations is Pop It Up! I love to pop a lot up on my cards with pop dots. It time I decided to try something different, I colored the image multiple times then cut out the pieces, turned them over and used my ball stylus to puff or pop out the shapes of parts of the image. It is fun to do but takes some practice to make it look perfect. It is definitely something I will do again.

For My Love on Valentine's Day

Happy Tuesday! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend. I got a bunch of the new Memory Box dies and couldn't wait to pay with them though I didn't use any of the new ones on this Valentine's Day card. The pretty heart in the corner is from a previous release. I also watched the Super Bowl like many of you probably did, now on to Nascar, Yeah can't wait! I am a motorhead at heart.

This week at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations we are celebrating Valentines's Day since it is right around the corner so the theme for this week's challenge is an easy one create a Valentine. As you can see I decided to go the non-traditional color route for my Valentine. I got this adorable image at Paper Shelter and thought immediately of this DP from Bearly Mine that I bought sometime last summer. I think it is a perfect match and I love the colors in it. The DP actually has some hints of pink in it though the camera didn't pick it up real well. It only took a few swipes of my Copics to tie the two together. What do you think? We can't wait to see your Valentine's so come play with us. Kristen over at Scrap-Creations is also offering a prize to one lucky player so go over and find out what it is!
