My Favorite Technique!

Happy Tuesday! It is especially great for me because we have the day off today because of voting at the schools in town. I am fighting a massive cold and NEED it gone for Saturday, the big Holiday Craft Fair is in Boston this weekend and my sisters, daughter and I go every year. I can not miss it because it is the big start to my Christmas shopping. I plan on loading up on meds and climbing back into bed to sleep the day away.

It being Tuesday means it is also time for another fantastic challenge over at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. This week Kristen is really making it fun for everyone, the challenge is to use your favorite technique on your creation. It can be anything you love. I chose to do a shaving cream back round for my card. This is definitely my all time favorite. I have always been a fan of making my own back rounds but time doesn't always allow for it and papers are so beautiful that I usually take the quicker way out. I had so much fun Saturday doing this technique I made dozens of them in all different colors so I will have them to use for a while.

We also have an amazing sponsor this week Through The Craftroom Door. They are a new papercrafting magazine that is awesome and they are giving a 1 year subscription to one lucky winner. All you have to do is come play along with us at Going Grey this week for your chance at this fabulous prize. We can't wait to see what your favorite technique is!

I picked this one for my card because it reminded me of Fall leaves whipping in the wind with all the colors blending together as they fly through the air. This beautiful Autumn image I colored is from Karen Doodles, perfect for this time of year. Everyone of the ladies did a different technique this week and their creations are gorgeous so be sure to stop by their blogs to see what they did to inspire you.

Here are some other wonderful challenges that fit my card

Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge #73-This is the great sketch that I used to create my card.
Karen Doodles Challenge #35-This is a new challenge for me. Their challenge this week is to make a creation with the theme of "Give Thanks". It can be a Thanksgiving card, thank you card or something that you are thankful for. I am sending this card as a Thanksgiving card to a dear friend who I won't be seeing at Thanksgiving.
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #128-This week the challenge is "Relish to Embellish". I live to put embellishments on my creations so this challenge is perfect for me!
Incy Wincy Designs Challenge 66-This week the challenge is "Anything Goes". I love all the creativity that this challenge shows us!
Copic Creations Challenge No. 38-This week the challenge is to use your Copic browns or create a scene. I love this challenge because I love coloring with all the shades of browns.
Crafty Creations Challenge #91-This week their challenge is Halloween or Autumn. I chose the Autumn because I love making cards for this time of year.
Creative Card Crew Challenge-The challenge this week is "Let's Punch it!" I punched out the leaves that I used around the flowers using the SU leaf branch punch.
Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #31-This week it is one of my favorite challenges "Anything Goes".
Lexi's Creations Challenge #26-This week they are challenging us with "Anything Goes". I love to see what everyone creates.
Lollipop Crafts Challenge #14-This challenge is "Embossing" this week. I embossed the back panel of my card with the pumpkin patch Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Ooh La La Challenge #66-This week their challenge is "Remember Remember". I took this challenge two different ways, the first was the technique I used Shaving Cream Back Round. It was one of the very first things I learned when I started papercrafted many years ago. The second remember was a memory from the image, his mother had a wheelbarrow in the front of their house when I first started dating him 35+ years ago. Every Fall she would fill it with everything nature and it looked beautiful!
The One Stop Craft Challenge #104-This week their challenge is "Anything Goes" and to add to the fun a "Blog Hop".
Paper Pretties Challenge #27-This week their challenge is all about being "SQUARE", make a creation that is square. I love to make square cards so this was fun!
Raise The Bar Challenge #42-This week their challenge is "Go Go Go", make something the moves or has wheels. Cute idea for a challenge!
Stampin' B's Design Team Challenge #82-This challenge is to make a Thanksgiving card that has pumpkins on it. Wonderful challenge.
The Creative Cottage Challenge #26-This challenge is all about "Embossing" this week. I love to emboss on my cards so I used my pumpkin patch embossing folder to add embossing to my card.
The Paper Players Challenge #22-This week is another great and fun challenge "Anything Goes". A great way to show off your creativity!
Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #24-This week "Give Thanks" is their challenge, create a Thanksgiving card or anything that reflects the theme. Great theme for a challenge!

These are all wonderful challenges be sure to stop by and give them some love or better yet play along with them!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see what I created. I really appreciates all the wonderful comments that you leave for me to read.

Happy Creating,
Mary
