Simple Pleasures

Good Morning! I have a list of things around the house that I was going to do. I went down to start mowing through the craft room and found this image I colored a couple of weeks ago when I got together with my stamping friends. I decided I would work around the mess and make a card with the image instead of cleaning. It definitely made for a happy day for me!

The pretty striped DP is one of the freebies from Bearly Mine Designs for February. The colors in it are so my favorites and love the color on color stripes. When I started to put the card together I couldn't find any floral DP in my stash that complimented the back round and matched the colors I used on the image so I made my own DP. I pulled out my Rubber Stamp Tapestry sets, my ink pads (they are so neglected since I started coloring with Copics) and some white shimmer paper and started stamping. I am really happy with the results, the colors match pretty close. I decided to add some sparkle so I dabbed the flower centers with a bit of Crystal Stickles. It was quicker to make it than looking through my stash of DP for some that worked.

Paper Pretties Challenge PWC142-This week the challenge is to use "Glitter" on your creation. I glittered my paper and the roses!

Sketch and Stash Challenge 55-This is the fabulous sketch that I used for my card and my new stash is the digital DP from Bearly Mine and the beautiful pearl button from Tim Holtz. I love the detail on it!

The Creative Cottage Challenge 33-This week the challenge is "Fabulous Florals" I love using flowers on my paper and as embellishments!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge #37-This week the challenge is 3D, I popped up the butterfly on my card.

Paper Romance Challenge #38-This week the challenge is to use Buttons, ribbon and lace on your creation. I used a lace punch for my lace and a pearl button and my favorite 2 colored ribbon!

Party Time Tuesday's Challenge #4-This is a new challenge blog for me and their fun challenge is "Anything Goes", one of my favorite themes!

Sweet Stamps Challenge #3-This is another new challenge for me. Their challenge is to use flowers on your creation this week. I love flowers on almost any creation!

Tip Top Tuesday Challenge #23-This week their challenge is to "Bling It On". I love lots of sparkle on my creations.

KB Cute Monday Challenge #4-This challenge is asking us to use "Glitter" on our creations. I love to make my cards sparkle!
