Baby's 1ST Christmas

It has been a topsy turvy week for me but like is back to normal and it is a is a beautiful weekend here in New England. With the start of the holiday season under 2 weeks away I guess you could call it the calm before the storm. I got to meet Melissa Francis Friday night at my LLS and I took a class of hers yesterday. I went with my good friends Kristen, and Pia and my sister Peggy. We all made some amazing tags and ornaments (18 total) in the class and brought home a ton of extra product from Melissa. If you ever have the chance to take one of her classes don't miss it, she is such a wealth of crafting knowledge and so very nice! We topped the day off with laughs over dinner. I plan on using what I made on some of my future cards. Don't you love good times with friends!

This card is the first Baby's First Christmas card I have ever made. I thought it would be pretty easy but then I realized most of the Christmas DP out there doesn't work well on a baby card. I looked around and found this really pretty Digi DP at Bearly Mine Designs. Her papers are gorgeous and I have never really think of using digi paper because I have so much regular DP. Boy have I found a new love. I printed it on CS so I could cut out some of the stars to use as accents around the image and saying. I guess I better ask Santa for lots of color ink cartridges.

I need to give one more shout out to Really Reasonable Ribbon. I won a gift certificate for their store. I loved their ribbons and prices so much I bought more ribbon from them. The ribbon on this card was a free sample they sent me with my order and it was something I wouldn't have picked myself. It is beautiful though and matched the DP perfectly so thank you RRR you made my day! Be sure to take a look at their store if you love ribbon like I do.

Here are some challenges that fit my card

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #85-This week their inspiration is green and red Christmas flowered cupcakes. I took my inspiration from the colors and the Christmas theme.
A Crafty Little Place Challenge #64-Their challenge this time is to use the colors red, green and white on your creation. I love the traditional Christmas colors.
Crazy For Challenges C4C63-This week their challenge to us is to create a Christmas card. I still need to make many of them.

Stamp Something Challenge-The challenge this week is Nov. "Something Digi". I used one of Mo Mannings digis on my card.
The Crafty Pad Challenge #97-Their challenge is called "Christmas Sparkle". I have glitter on my ornament and gold sparkle on my ribbon and bow and the red glitter ribbon down the center.
The Creative Cottage Challenge 27-This challenge is to create something for "Someone Special at Christmas". Great idea for a challenge.
Totally Gorjuss Challenge 56-This challenge would like us to use "Traditional Christmas Colors" on our creation.
Karber Christmas Challenge #3-This challenge would like a Christmas card that uses a "Digi Stamp" on it. I used a Mo Manning Christmas digi.

These are fantastic challenges so be sure to stop by and play along.

Sounds like that class was a blast!! I knew you and Peggy were sisters but didn't know you lived in the same area as Kristen! How FUN! =D I live 3 hours from my sister so we don't get together very often. Your card is SOO CUTE!! LOVE that image and all your stars and colors--perfecto!! =) Have a good day.
