Ready For Snow!
I did this card for the Sugar Bowl challenge, challenge 25, Lilian's sketch. You were to use the sketch and also your favorite color. My favorite color is blue and it goes perfectly with these shades of pink and cranberry so this card was a lot of fun to do. I also love this Sugar Nellie winter stamp because she is so fun to color! I put lots of sparkle on it but of course it didn't show up well in the picture. There is no sentiment yet because I'm not sure if it will be a Christmas card yet.
Supplies
Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: SU Bravo Burgundy CS, Old Olive CS, Bashful Blue CS Papertrey White CS, and DP Basic Grey

Writing to Santa, Sugar Bowl Challenge 24
This week the Sugar Bowl Challenge is sketch 24 by Marlene. You also have to have some sort of zigzag on the card. I thought that would be a problem but it turns out that I had some SU rick rack ribbon. It was light green so I pulled out my Copics and colored it red and to brighten it up put red Stickles on it. I made something that reminded me of the corsages you see around the holidays in mini form. I tried to color the hat and scarf to match the plaid paper back round. Just a little glitter to add a little sparkle without him having bling.
Supplies
Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: SU Real Red. Night of Navy, Papertrey White, CTMH Textured White, and DP Bo Bunny and Basic Grey
Inks: Copics
Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, Paper Shaper Swirl Punch, MS Branch Punch, SU Glitter, Stickles, SU Rick Rack Ribbon, CTMH Ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, Queen & Co Pearls, Pearl Pins Unknown
I hope you liked my interpretation of the Sugar Bowl Sketch this week. Thank you stopping by. I would love to know what you think of my card.

Lotsa Love
The second challenge that I decided to use this card for was the Copic Colour Challenge #39 to use the colors G05 emerald Green, R29 Lipstick Red, and Y08 Acid Yellow. Luckily I had all 3 of these colors and decided to go playful with them. This is definitely not my typical type of card though I do like the way it came out. I didn't put a saying to it yet though because I am not sure what it will used for maybe a birthday card.
The third challenge that this card was made for was Allsorts Challenge Week 27, a card or something for a child. I think this image is perfect for any little girl who has a favorite doll that goes everywhere. My own daughter when she was young had one just like these and loved it to the point of ruin.
The fourth challenge is for Paperplay Challenges 09 Week 41 a recipe. The recipe is to use 2 designer papers, 3 buttons and 1 ribbon. I love all three items in the recipe so it was a great challenge for me. This is the first time I have tried one of their challenges.
Supplies
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie's Stamps
Paper: SU YoYo Yellow, Garden Green, Papertrey White, and DP Basic Grey
Inks: Copics
Accessories: Nesties, MS Punch, SU Photo Corner Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, CTMH Spiral Clip, Michaels Ribbon, and Walmart Craft Buttons
I hope you have liked this card I created. It was lots of fun to try something totally different than what I normally do. I would really appreciate knowing what you think.
Happy Creating,
Mary

Picking Time! 3CTC39, Stamp Something Sketch Challenge
This stamp is one of Crissy Armstrong's on Squigglefly. Isn't this one of the cutest turkeys you've ever seen and I love that it's a digi. This card was made for a sketch this week from Stamp Something Challenge Blog. It is a really fun sketch that worked perfectly with this image I think. I also made it for Kerry's fun Thursday challenge, 3CTC39, use a bird or bug on your creation.I printed out the turkey twice and cut out the front part of the turkey and popped up the turkey from the shirt up to give him some depth. His feet and bottom I just glue dotted down so he looked like he was still attached to his feathered backside.
I am one who has a comfort zone and don't realize how much I'm in it until I get knocked out of it. I must always cover my whole card with DP. There are so many out there that are perfect that I always reach for them. Well I didn't have any that went with this plaid. It was a scrap I had that I loved. I don't even know who makes it. I decided to just stamp on the red CS with fall leaves in red. It shows up IRL but not in the pick. I am not really crazy about it since it is not the norm for me. It is times like this that I will pull the card apart many times(often ruining some part of it in the process) trying to change it. This time I finished it and am posting before I give myself the chance to go at it again. Thanks for letting me vent so I can move on!
Supplies
Stamps: Squiggfly Digi Stamps, Amuse Stamps, SU Fall Leaves

Thanks for stopping by today. If you get a minute I would love to know what you think of my card I created. I really appreciate all the wonderful comments that I get.

Dear Friend, TSSC94, Basic Grey Challenge Week 7, Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #4 Tag Your It!,RecipeFor Love Somethings Challenge
I made this card for 4 challenges. The first was Challenge #4, Tag your it on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog. You had to make a card with a tag on it. My tag was made with the SU tag punches and then I stamped the saying and roses on it with my Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg and block stamps. I stickled the roses.
The third challenge was Basic Grey's Challenge for week 7, a photo inspiration. I used the colors brown and pink from the picture as my inspiration. I love all the Basic Grey 6x6 paper packs so it was easy to find the perfect papers for this challenge.
The fourth challenge is the Stamp Something Challenge for this week, Recipe For Love Somethings. The recipe for the challenge is 1 Ribbon 2 Papers, 3 Embellishments. I used white ribbon, 2 Basic Grey Papers, and Prima Roses, Punched Branches and White Pearls, all favorites of mine!
I colored the image with Copics and stickled the bouquet of roses in her hand. I also stickled the Prima roses that are beside the image and on the tag. It does not show up very well on the picture.
Supplies
Stamps: Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, Rubber Stamp TapestryPaper: SU CS Choc. Chip, Regal Rose, Papertrey White CS, Basic Grey DPInk: Memento Black, SU Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Choc Chip, CopicsAccessories: MS Lace Punch and Branch Punch, SU Tag Punches, Stickles, SU ribbon, Recollection Sticker Pearls

A Haunting Home
This card made me think of scary houses. This is a SU set from a year or two back. I always like the house and the sentiment. I masked off the image with a circle, sponged on green ink and then sprayed it with Krylon black webbing to give a cobweb look to it. I sponged yellow in side the circle area and then Shimmered it. The moon got gold glitter so that it would stand out from the shimmered back round. I still thought it needed a bit more so I punched out the bats, ran them through my Xyron machine and glittered them black before I popped them up.
Supplies
Stamps: Stampin' Up
Paper: SU Lovely Lilac, Black, GP White, DP SU (I think)
Inks: SU Green Galore, YoYo Yellow, Going Grey, Lovely Lilac, Versafine Black
Accessories: EK Success Bat Punch, SU Oval Punch, Krylon Webbing Spray, Art Institute Glitter, Misc. Brads, Michaels Ribbon
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween tonight!!!

Mary

Think Snow? TSSC92
Jo's Monday lunchtime Challenge, TSSC92 but once again am getting it posted right under the deadline.
I found this snow DP from last year and I love all the blues and purples in it. That is what started the idea of this card. I have had this little snowman for years, it was on of the first stamp sets that I ever bought. The think snow saying was bought just last week. I like that it was nice and small.
The snowflakes are punched on shimmery paper and stamped snowflakes from my Rubber Stamp Tapestry set around the bottom.
Supplies
Stamps: Stampendous, Rubber Stamp Tapestry, Amuse
Paper: SU Bliss Blue, Papertrey White, Paper Co. Shimmer White, DP unknown

I'm waiting for you! Copic Creations Challenge #14, Basic Grey Challenge Week 6
I am not much of one to practice using certain colors like black and greys. I only pull them out when I have to color something those colors. I love Tink from High Hopes but I done use the stamps I have of him often. I just got this Tink in late Dec. last year after the holidays. I figured he would be perfect for this challenge because he looks so sweet.

Sweet Enjoyment, 3CTC35
I fell in love with this stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I was just starting to color with my Copics and thought it was perfect for coloring with them and the mice were just soo cute! I actually love all the Friendly Critters stamps. I didn't put any saying on the front because I wasn't sure what fit but before it finds a new home I'll find something suitable. I have to laugh because I noticed that the sky was made with Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol, it was before I owned a Cloud Maker which I couldn't live without now.
Supplies
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms
Papers: SU Really Rust, Always Artichoke, GP White, DP Flair Designs inc.
Inks: Copics, Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol
Accessories:SU Slot Punch, CTMH Leaves, LSS Ribbon
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Please let me know what you think of one of my early Copic colorings. I really appreciate all your wonderful comments.

Let It Snow...., Basic Grey Challenge #5 Martine's Sketch
I don't like winter too much but I love snowmen of all kinds. This is a new snowman stamp that I just bought at my LSS because I just loved the expression on the face! I still have lots of Fall cards to finish but the sketch for the Basic Grey Challenge, Week 5 Martine's Sketch, was perfect for this stamp and I couldn't resist inking it up right away.
The paper is from last year's Basic Grey winter 6x6 pak. I love both these papers and was kind of hoarding them until now. You can't see it in the picture but the snowman is outlined in glitter over the Copics that I shaded him with. I also painted inside his body with white paint to give him a bit of texture. I included a picture of some new sparkle that I found and bought at a stamp convention. It is called Twinklets by Floracraft and it is like real ice crystals. It isn't like a chunky glitter because it is very thin, flat and clear. That is the best way I can think to describe it. It comes in a good size bottle and it goes on with glue or like on the large snowflake because the bottom flake is felt I used Crystal effects so it would stick good. This stuff is wonderful if you like sparkle on your creations!
Supplies
Stamps: Great Impressions, Savvy Stamps
Paper: CTMH Textured White, DP Basic Grey
Ink: Memento Black and Copics
Accessories: EK Success Snowflake punches, Twinklets Diamond Dust, Art Institute Glitter, Hero Arts Rhinestones, Queen & Co Pearls, Maya Road Felt Snowflakes
Enjoy your day,

TSSC89, The Crystal Ball
It has been a crazy week at school. I started this card at the beginning of the week and just finished it Friday. Today was the first chance I had to upload it! I made this card for MaryJo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge, TSSC89, so I am getting it posted just under the wire.
This image is a digi stamp that Ratmomma generously had for free over on SCS. I liked her because I don't have any stamps of just the witch's head. The sketch was a circle with a scalloped around it. I decided to make it a "crystal ball" to go with the Halloween theme of the card. To make it look realistic I put Crystal Effects all over the circle to give the impression of glass. I like using Crystal Effects but it is not easy to get it evenly all over the circle! The Crystal Effects also dulled the colors of the Copics a bit and the black actually ran on the dots just a little on a few of them, guess I'll have to be careful of that next time. The bottom of the crystal ball is from a snow globe digi stamp from Byrd's Blog. She has wonderful images and sayings that she gives away free from her blog, how wonderful is she!
After the card was done I decided to add the Halloween colored Primas and then have the spiders nesting in the center of them. The spiders are covered with black glitter to make them "pop". I used a really cool product on the scalloped circle. Krylon makes a webbing spray that is really easy to use and it makes a great stringy back round. The white looks like cobwebs.
Supplies
Stamps: Digi stamps by Ratmomma(SCS), Byrd's Blog
Paper: SU Old Olive, Black, Papertrey White, DP Basic Grey
Inks: Copics
Accessories: Nesties, MS Punch, Paper Shaper Spider Punch, Crystal Effects, Krylon Webbing, Prima Flowers, Art Institute Glitter
I hope this card might make you think about doing sketches a bit different than what you normally do. Mary Jo have a great sketch every Monday you should stop by and try it. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a wonderful week,
Mary

New Friends, Sugar Nellie Challenge #20 Gayle's Sketch
I didn't have any idea what I was going to do on the card when I started. I am not one to pick out my DP before I start coloring so picking out the DP that I was going to use for the paper piecing was no different. Luckily the new pack of winter DP from Basic Grey had this really cute reindeer paper that matched the finished image perfectly. I did mess up though. When I do the sky I usually have green grass on the ground. I wasn't thinking and I masked off for snow and when the sky and the snowy ground were done it looks they are somewhere barren I should have added some trees into the back round, next time I'll know. I did add flock on the sleeves and the pompom on her hat. I also bought at the convention some snow glitter. It looked great on their samples and I couldn't walk away without it. It does give a different sparkle than glitter.
I didn't add a saying yet because I am not sure if I'll use this as one of my Christmas cards this year.
Supplies Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: SU Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Papertrey White, DP Basic Grey, Bo Bunny
Coloring: Copics, SU Bashful Blue
Accessories: Cloud Maker, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Stampendous Flock and Twinklets Snow Glitter, Paper Shaper Snowflake Border Punch, Maya Road Pearl Pin, LSS Ribbon, Felt Snowflakes, EK Success Snowflake Punches, Kaiser Pearls
I hope you liked the way this card came out. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments about my creations, it is truly appreciated.

Fall Pleasures, Copic Creations Challenge #12
I WON!!!!!
I never win anything but today that all changed, I won the blog candy from SQUIGGLEFLY Blog Hop yesterday. I got ALL the new releases from Crissy Armstrong. I love her work from when she designed for High Hopes and now I have her new digis from Squigglefly. Crissy is also sending goodies from her own private stash. I feel so lucky, thanks for letting me share it. For some reason no one at my house, (my DH and my DD) just couldn't understand my excitement.
I hope to get to play with them tomorrow now that I cleaned the house today, so stop by again soon to see what I created with them.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Fall Beauty, TSSC86
I started this card a couple of days ago planning on finishing it pretty quickly for Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime challenge, TSSC86. But things got in the way and I just finished it today. The only good thing about it was that I used some of my new Fall Basic Grey paper and the whole 6x6 pack is beautiful! I loved them all so much that I bought two packs of it! Also I used Smooch to make the berries and originally I only had red ones then yesterday I picked up the pumpkin color so then I decided to use my harvest color(yellow) to make three different color berries on the wreath. It now looks a lot more fallish. I guess things worked out for the best. I tried to take a close up of the wreath so you could see the bright, metallic shimmer of the Smooch colors, IRL it still shimmers a lot more.
Finally I thought the card needed a bit more texture so I used my Scor-it to make lines in the solid DP and the sanded them to make them stand out a bit more. I like the card to look balanced, KWIM? I am happy with the finished card though it evolved a lot from my first ideas.
Supplies
Stamps: Memory Box, Hero Arts
Paper: SU Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Papertrey White, DP Basic Grey
Ink: Memento Brown, Pumpkin Pie, Smooch Colors
Accessories: Scor-it Mini, Nesties, Recollections Pearls, Leaf Punch, Michaels Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my creation. I hope you liked it as much as I liked making it. Pleas stop by again soon.
Have a great start to the week,

Fall Friends, Sugar bowl Challenge 18
Since I was using my new stamps it was a perfect time to play in the sugar bowl again. The challenge, challenge 19, this week is a color, pink and brown, and a sketch challenge. It's a great sketch because it worked great to turn it on it's side to fit the image. Basic Grey must love this color combo because it was really hard to pick which papers to choose because they have a lot using these two colors. Our LSS called today and the new Basic Grey 6x6 paper packs are in and I'm picking mine up tomorrow, I love having new things to play with. Don't you?
Supplies
Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Papers: SU Choc. Chip, Pretty in Pink, DP Basic Grey
Ink: Copics, Choc. Chip, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Cloud Maker, Nesties, Punch Bunch Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Kaiser Pearls, Michaels Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you liked what I created for the challenge.
Come by again soon.
