Winter Thoughts

This is the second card that was made with my Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps. This winter has been snowy and colder than many of our recent New England winters. I wanted to make a card that was wintery without having snow or snowmen on the card. I used two different sets to make this wreath so that it looked full without looking bulky or heavy, just kind of "woodsy" if you know what I mean. The owl is from a set that I don't own but was lucky enough to have the owners of Rubber Stamp Tapestry come to our LSS last spring and they brought hundreds of loose peg stamps for us to buy. I got lots of little creatures like this owl. If you ever have the chance to take a class with them you won't be sorry. Their class was excellent and they are super nice people. The card is also dotted with Icicles Stickles to give the impression of sparkling dew, it just doesn't show up on the scanned image.

I always like some kind of saying on the front of my cards. This one was a little tough. I finally came up with "Quiet Beauty". I would like to here what you think, corny or a fitting saying for the card? Maybe you have a better saying for it, I'd like to know it! Just leave me a comment with your thoughts.

Supplies:

Stamps: Rubber Stamp Tapestry, Just Rite Stamps and SU wheathered backround
CS: SU Craft, Purely Pomegranite, Michael's green textured stripe and GP white
Ink: SU Purely Pomegranite, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green
Accessories: SU corner punch, antique gold brads, Icicles Stickles and Oval Nestabilities

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I can create with these fun little peg stamps.

Thanks for looking,
Mary

I have such trouble with the images!

Ok, here's what I remember saying from my first post:

Beautiful card, Mary! I like the sentiment with it. And no blue?! Love the color combo.

I still haven't opened my rectangle Just-Rite set. Did you see they came out with a lower case to match this alpha?

Mary,
Another GORGEOUS tapestry set. I love them when I see your cards. The owl is so cute.

I just bought my first just rite set. I have to play with it. Stay warm. I am going to drop of your WS stamps today.
